Keys To Accessing Authority...


SCRIPTURE: For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. – Matthew 8:9

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be in authority, you must know who you are.

It has been confirmed that being placed in the position of authority brings favour, audience, abundance and influence. The meaning of this is: if God wants to give you favour, access, audience, abundance and
influence, He places you in authority.

Now, how can a man access authority?

Maintain the right mentality.

What mentality? It is the mentality of authority. From our anchor scripture, the centurion said, “I am a man under authority, I have soldiers under me.” This means that the centurion knew who he was; he had the right mentality about authority.

Therefore, to be in authority, you must know who you are. You have to be up and doing in your assignment. You have to know who you are, where you desire to be in life and work towards it. Don’t live with a blank mind. The Bible says in Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…’ So, if you think like a defeated person, you are a defeated person. If you think like a person in authority, you are a person of authority. Renew and renovate your mind on a continuous basis, identifying who you are and where you know God wants you to be. Know who you are, what you want out of life, and do what it takes to achieve it.

Remember this: To be in authority, you must know who you are

2. Live according to the word of God and not according to the dictates of your situation

3. Live the word.
